This Privacy Policy explains what information NWI Computer LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use NWI School Lunch Alerts (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By signing up for the Service, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect the information you give us when you sign up and use the Service, including:
- Your name
- Your mobile phone number
- Your email address
- The school district and school you select for menu alerts
- Payment information, which is collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not receive or store your full card number
We also keep basic records connected to your subscription, such as when you signed up, whether your subscription is active, and messages we send you about the Service.
How we use your information
We use your information only to run the Service:
- To send you the daily school lunch menu text messages you signed up for
- To manage your subscription, free trial, and billing
- To respond to your questions and provide customer support
- To send you important notices about the Service, such as changes to pricing or these policies
SMS opt-in data
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your consent to receive text messages from NWI School Lunch Alerts is not shared with anyone else for their own marketing.
Service providers we work with
We use a small number of companies to operate the Service — for example, a texting provider to deliver the messages and Stripe to process payments. These providers receive only the information they need to do that work for us, and they are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information while your subscription is active and for a reasonable time afterward for billing, record-keeping, and legal purposes. If you cancel and ask us to delete your information, we will remove it except where we are required to keep records by law.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is completely secure, but we limit the information we collect to what the Service needs and limit access to it.
Children's privacy
NWI School Lunch Alerts is sold to parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, and you do not need to give us your child's name to use the Service — only the district and school.
About the menus
Menus are based on each district’s published menu and are subject to change. A district may change a menu without notice, and the text you receive reflects the menu as published.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text from us to stop the menu texts
- Cancel your subscription at any time to stop future billing
- Email us at nwicomputerllc@gmail.com to ask what information we have about you, or to have it corrected or deleted
Changes to this policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will also be announced by text or email where practical.
